ARTIST STATEMENT

My work centres around Motherhood, not as a single moment or ideal, but as a lived, evolving experience. 'An Ode To The Mother'- recognises Motherhood as an intimate, timeless and monumental journey. Working across both film and digital photography, I explore the candid, raw, and often unseen dimensions of what it means to mother - recognising Mothers and as powerhouses in many advertising and brand campaigns.

My practice is rooted in my love of film photography; a continuation of the many hours spent in the Dark Room at College and University. I am drawn to film for the same reasons I am drawn to Motherhood: the realness, the unpredictability, the imperfections. Shooting on film means surrendering to the process, stripping back and slowing down. I put my trust in that what feels unpolished or raw, will hold truth. That process still grounds me and remains my way of seeing: tactile, intentional and deeply human.

As a Fine Art Documentary Photographer, my work is both personal and collective, featuring in PhotoVogue, Juno Magazine, Writerly Magazine and Exhibited internationally in US magazine FLOAT and in Art Galleries across England.
